Shelburne resident, Jane Osborne McKnight, was recently elected to the Board of Trustees at Mater Christi School in Burlington where she will serve a three-year term. McKnight has a general law practice in Shelburne and is owner and founder of the Vermont Employers Law Center, Inc., which provides employment and labor law assistance to employers.
McKnight is admitted to the bars of California and Vermont. She has practiced law for 31 years and is a summa cum laude graduate of Boston College. She also has degrees from Harvard University and the UCLA School of Law. She has extensive experience in mediation, arbitration, and appellate law, having appeared before the appellate courts of California, the Supreme Court of Vermont, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and Ninth Circuit. She is a frequent lecturer on employment law topics.
McKnight has previously served a three-year term on the Shelburne Selectboard and represented Shelburne for three years on the CCTA Board.
