Live Nativity brings Christmas to life

D-1-T-Live-NativityBring your family to an outdoor, live dramatization of the first Christmas on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 and 14, at 6 and 7:30 pm at the First Baptist Church of Shelburne. On hiatus since 2009, the congregation looks forward to the live Nativity’s return to the community. Narrator guides will lead groups through dramatic scenes that depict Bethlehem on that special Christmas Eve. Attendees will visit Mary and Joseph’s home, see Jesus in the manger, sing Christmas carols, and experience the shepherd’s field with its flock of sheep (and a campfire!). Children are encouraged to visit the shepherd and pet the tame sheep. Four dramatizations of 20 minutes each are scheduled, followed by refreshments in the fellowship room, including homemade donuts, hot chocolate, and coffee. This event is free and open to the public. Dress warmly and wear boots!

The First Baptist Church of Shelburne is located at 127 Webster Road. For more information, call 985-3412.
