Parents and children alike can speak (or sing) to the magical tradition of the Shelburne Holiday Stroll. Carols, tree lighting, the S.D. Ireland Truck of Lights, and Santa Claus all make the magic of Christmas come alive in Shelburne on Friday evening, Dec. 6, on the Village Green. The night kicks off at 5:30 pm with Caroling on the Green, followed by the grand tree lighting at 6 pm sharp. Be sure to stop by the Shelburne News booth for a bag of goodies from local businesses!
The Holiday Stroll is the perfect opportunity to shop Shelburne and to take part in the fun activities going on around town. Wind Ridge Books of Vermont will be holding an end-of-the-year Overstock Sale in the Writers’ Barn at 233 Falls Road; stop by for hot cider and three books for $20 (hardcover titles included!). After the tree lighting, children will have the opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him their wishes in the Town Hall. The Shelburne News will take photos of the children and Santa together, if wished.
Plan to attend the Holiday Stroll; it’s a Shelburne tradition.
