It’s that time of the year again! The Alpha team at Shelburne Community School is getting ready for the annual student-led play. This year, the production is called “Kokonut Kapers,” a play from Pioneer Drama service, written by Tim Kelly with music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur. The story is set on a dilapidated resort island off the coast of Florida. A hurricane just hit the island, and the islanders are losing customers fast. What are they going to do? You’ll have to see the play to find out!

Alpha students have been working hard since September. Student Directors Renee Dauerman and Anna Rowland, along with other student leaders, have coached and guided students in all aspects of the production. According to one of the student leaders, “Everyone is hard at work! The play sounds better every practice.” It promises to be a wonderful, tropical adventure.

The play falls on Thursday, Dec. 12, and Friday, Dec.13, at 7 pm at Shelburne Community School cafeteria. Tickets are available at the door: $5 for adults, $4 for students.
