Essex Children’s Choir performs Twelfth Night Celebration Jan. 4

A Twelfth Night Celebration, performed by the Essex Children’s Choir under the direction of Constance J. Price and accompanist Karen Reed, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 6:30 pm in the Chapel of Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Michael’s College, Colchester.

In its 27th year, this celebration is a joyful collaboration of artistry in song, instruments, dance, and poetry. The program will feature “A Ceremony of Carols” and “Te Deum in C” by Benjamin Britten, “Chorale from Cantata No. 140” by J.S. Bach, selections by John Rutter, and choral settings of traditional carols. Joining the choir in celebration are the Vermont Choral Union, under the direction of Jeff  Rehbach; Heidi Soons, harp; Susan Summerfield, organ; the Wheeler Trombone Quarter; Full Circle, recorder consort; and the Adirondack Dance Ensemble.

In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be held Sunday, Jan. 5, at 4:30 pm. Donations will be received as you exit the chapel.
